Derek Hintzen
University Director
Derek Hintzen is the Director of Egoscue University, he has been with the university since 2008. Derek came to Egoscue after spending several years working in education at the University of Phoenix as an enrollment counselor. He specialized in working with students receiving their degree in a health related field. His experience managing and monitoring the progress of students receiving their formal education is a great asset to Egoscue. Derek was also a veteran of Desert Storm, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a military police officer and drill instructor. He is currently a student at the University of Phoenix working on a Bachelor’s of Science degree, majoring in long term healthcare. As the University Director, Derek is committed to using the leadership skills he learned in the military to grow and improve the university. |

Courtney Culley

Courtney Culley is a graduate of California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Communication. She also has professional experience in the Health and Wellness field as a licensed Massage Therapist. As an Instructor for the Posture Alignment Therapy Program, Courtney has taught and certified many students in the Egoscue Method and has been a leading force in the development and growth of the Egoscue University. She is passionate about the Method and committed to it's success. |

Casey Lyon

Casey Lyon serves as an adjunct Instructor for the University. He is currently Vice President of Business Development for Egoscue, Inc., where he serves as the Franchise Officer and direct contact for Egoscue clinics worldwide. With a degree in teaching from Saint Mary's College and over 15 years of experience training Egoscue Therapists, Casey’s focus continues to be developing therapists capable of delivering the highest possible care to anyone who needs it, and making sure that access to the Egoscue Method brand of Postural Therapy is available in every corner of the globe. |

Greg Heinemann

Greg is the director and co-owner of the Egoscue Method clinic in Purchase, New York. While studying athletic training at Southern Connecticut State University, Greg was introduced to the Egoscue Method. In 2003 he began his work and is now certified with the highest accreditation given by the Egoscue Method as an Accredited Exercise Therapist (AET). |

Paul Schell

Paul graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy. After serving as the Director of Education at Egoscue University for the past eight years, Paul is now the owner and clinic director of the Egoscue Method Clinic in West Los Angeles. As an exercise therapist, Paul has helped a wide variety of clients live pain free and return to sport and activity using the Egoscue Method since 1998.
Paul currently sees clients out of his clinic and teaches courses at the Egoscue University. He has lectured and taught workshops to traditional, complimentary and alternative health professionals and fitness instructors across the U.S. and internationally. |

David Smith

David Smith is the Owner and Therapy Director of the Egoscue clinic in San Francisco, CA. He has been an Exercise Therapist and a Certified Posture Alignment Specialist (PAS) with the Egoscue Method since 1998. Over the last 10 years he has treated thousands of people with just about every musculoskeletal pain in the book.
David has authored numerous articles for tennis magazines regarding stroke mechanics and musculoskeletal injuries of all kind. He has spoken nationally and internationally for Egoscue and is considered a leading figure- head within the company. |

Shawn Taker

In 2000 Shawn Graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Exercise Science. After six months of working in the Physical therapy field Shawn took a position as Program director of a resort health club on the coast of Maine. In 2002 using his postural alignment education, Shawn developed and implemented the postural alignment Program. The Success of the program inspired him to open an Egoscue Method clinic in Florida. The clinic opened in 2005 and re-located to Palm Beach Gardens in 2007. In July 2007 Shawn achieved the highest level of recognition offered by the Egoscue Method when he became certified as an AET (accredited exercise therapist). |

Matt Whitehead

Matt Whitehead is the Clinic Director of the Egoscue Method in Portland, OR. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University. Since learning the Egoscue Method in 2001, Matt has helped thousands of people of all ages become pain free and return to an active life. Matt has taught workshops on posture and its relationship to chronic pain and athletic performance to a wide array of participants, from fitness and wellness professionals to medical practitioners. Matt enjoys teaching people how to find the true cause of their pain and movement disorders and how to most effectively correct the problem. Matt has experience working with everyone from professional athletes to geriatrics on eliminating their pain and limitations. |

Dustin Dillberg

Hawai'i affiliate Dustin Dillberg received his education, degrees, and certifications at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Pettibon Institute of spinal technologies, American Biologics, Institute of Functional Medicine, and Egoscue University. Dustin's exposure to Egoscue came while attending Pacific college in San Diego where he saw the method work wonders for many of his patients. He co-owns and operates his practice, Dillberg Integrated Healthcare, with his Father Dr. Kerry L. Dillberg on the island of Kaua'i where “Whole-istic Health” is the focus, Physically, Chemically, Emotionally, and Electromagnetically. Dustin has been contracted to speak internationally on a wide variety of healthcare topics and is the trainer/practitioner of choice with many of the top athletes on the ASP World Surf Tour. Dustin looks forward to educating as many as possible that true Health can be achieved and maintained without drugs and surgery. |

Jane Sullivan

Jane Sullivan owns and operates a successful massage therapy practice at Associated Healing Arts. She joined doctors Bob and Cecile Locke, MD at the first holistic clinic in Noblesville IN. She has a background in respiratory therapy, physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, and philosophy. She was instrumental in the early 90's introducing holistic healthcare to the hospital where she worked. She developed a wellness program for the employees to facilitate stress reduction through massage, breathing exercise, and nutrition.
Following a motor vehicle accident Jane sustained a fractured sternum that developed into bilateral frozen shoulders. She was told the only answer for her chronic pain was surgery and drugs. Seeking an alternative she found the Egoscue Method. The postural reeducation offered by Egoscue not only alleviated the bilateral frozen shoulders it also reshaped the direction of her life.
In 2001, she became an affiliate of the Egoscue Method and shifted her clientele to 85% Egoscue. She feels her own personal challenges and triumphs have taught her more than any degree she holds. This has given her the conviction to spread Egoscue throughout her community in order to help them lead a pain free lifestyle without fear and limitation. Jane welcomes the opportunity to join the Egoscue family as an affiliate instructor in the Midwest. |

Deb Preachuk

Deb Preachuk is the owner of two private corrective exercise businesses - Pain Free Posture MN & Pilates Integration M.B.S. and comes to the Egoscue University with over 20 years experience in the field. A graduate of the University of Manitoba (Canada) with a Bachelor’s of Physical Education and Bachelor's of Recreation Studies, Deb began her career in chronic pain and posture restoration work first as a STOTT Pilates Comprehensive Certified Instructor, then adding her PAS Certification.
In 2009 Deb also traveled throughout North America as an Instructor Trainer for the Pink Ribbon Program teaching the Post-rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist certification. She holds an Adjunct Instructor position teaching in the Exercise Science Department at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN and teaches a wide variety of group fitness and mind/body formats at Life Time Fitness where she is a 5 Star Certified Instructor.
Deb is thrilled and humbled to bring her broad spectrum of teaching and business experience to the Egoscue University. A self-described "teacher's" teacher, Deb's first and foremost passion is to help clients and students understand The Egoscue Method. |
