Jesse Connor
My name is Jesse Connor. I am the lead massage therapist for Lott Pain relief inc. Dr Lott is a medical doctor and chiropractor specializing in back pain. When I first started working for Dr. Lott he told me to read “Pain Free” and learn some of the E-cises to show his clients. I read the book, and told him that I was going to get certified!
I have been a massage therapist for 7 years, I love working with accident/injury recovery and chronic pain clients. I’ve always felt that I could help almost everyone that came through my door. The problem was that they would come back with the same thing bothering them a week or two down the road. Some people would see that as job security, but I didn’t. I was missing something that I couldn’t put my finger on. I read the” Pain Free” book and it hit me like a ton of bricks, “If you don’t teach them how to move, then they are destined to repeat the same dysfunctional movements that got them in this situation in the first place”. There it was, right in front of my face, all I had to do was learn it and LIVE it.
I did, I do and I love every minute of it, and so do my clients. I have been fortunate enough to work for Dr. Lott who has been a supporter of the Egoscue Method since before I came into the picture. He doesn’t hesitate to tell his patients to “ask Jesse, he is the expert here on helping you maintain proper posture”. I have been certified for almost three years now and am planning on continuing to learn all that I can to help people to live life to the fullest without pain.
My most memorable client so far was an 84 year old client who had been told the day before that she had degeneration of the hip and needed a replacement. When the doctor told her that, she stood up, turned to her daughter and said "I want to go see Jesse tomorrow". Her daughter had been trying to get her to see me for 6 months. After having to explain to the doctor who I was and what I did they called and came in the next day. I evaluated her and was in the process of printing her menu when she asked me if she was still going to need a hip replacement. I told her that in about 45 minutes her pain would be gone, she looked as if I had just slapped her. I walked her through the menu and had her get up and walk down the hall. On her third step her daughter said "oh my gosh". She got to the end of the hall and turned around with a big smile on her face. The pain was gone. To this day she still does her menu and still works in her garden every day. Yes, I love what I do and am thankful everyday to Pete and the team he has representing the Egoscue method for sharing this gift with us and making it possible for us to help those around us to have a pain free life.
