Severe back pain and degenerative hips ended my professional mountain biking career. The Egoscue Method got me back on my bike. The Method has also expanded my exercise opportunities. Running, prohibited by my doctor following my first of three knee surgeries is now a regular part of my weekly routine.

My business, aligned play, has a simple goal – help people stay active doing the things they love. To accomplish this I offer various forms of assistance. Detailed training plans and coaching, sports technique lessons, personal training, and of course Egoscue therapy and classes. My motivation is injury prevention and improved performance. Basically, I don't want to see anyone go through the physical pain, depression, loss of personal identity, decreased social interactions, and overall stress and anxiety that I endured.

To attract clients I lead outdoor patch fitness classes, contribute to a newspaper column, share my story, conduct sports technique clinics, publish a monthly online newsletter, connect with like-minded professionals, advertise to local sports clubs, have booths at health/wellness fairs, support local athletic events, write articles for a cycling magazine, and continuously ask my clients to spread the word. Last month I started hosting Egoscue travel clinics near Sun Valley, ID where I plan to relocate in the future.

I have been a student at EU for two years. In a few months I will finish the AET certification. Although difficult, a tremendous growth experience for me as a therapist, client and person. I highly recommend investing yourself in this program.
