About ePete™Two versions of ePete are available to students in the PAS-I and higher courses through Egoscue University. ePete Full Version (currently 3.0) The full version of ePete is recommended for all Egoscue Affiliates and a requirement for all licensed Egoscue Clinics. This software program is used to track and create client visits, postures and menus. The full version of the ePete program is specifically designed to capture client progress through their visits and includes an expert system that is capable of generating client-specific menus based on the client's posture and symptoms. ePete is built upon decades of application of The Egoscue Method® with clients and is updated with continual input from the therapists from Egoscue clinics. ePete EDU Version ePete EDU is an educational version available at no extra charge to all current students for use as a learning tool. The program allows students to enter client information and submit it for review by the University. Students are able to hone their skills with posture identification and put E-cises together with the postures as they are input. Note: The ePeteEDU software is for educational purposes only. ePete FAQs Q. Is this the same program as the Egoscue Clinics use? A. Yes. It has the same data capture capabilities and will have the same expert system menu generation ability. Q. Where is my clients' information stored? A. Your client's information, e.g. their posture, pains and notes, are stored on a server (computer) located at a secure site. Your data will be backed up at regular intervals. This means that your in-house computers will not store any client information. Q. How many menus can I create? A. There is no limit on the number of client visits you enter. We encourage you to use the EDU version to help with your proper input and use the full version as much as possible to become familiar with it. Computer FAQs Q. What computer do I need? A. Any computer capable of running java 1.5 or greater. For windows we recommend at least 1000MHz P4, with 512 MB RAM Windows XP or above. Some of the more recent windows operating system release do not include Java. It can be downloaded at the sun java site. Q. Can I use a Macintosh? A. Yes, but it must have OS X 10.4.10 or better. OSX has java preinstalled so you will not need to download it. On a personal note all ePete development has been done on Macintosh systems and they are the preferred system in the Egoscue facilities. However ePete will run exactly the same on either computer system. Back to Top Can I use more than 1 computer? A. Yes, ePete is a web based application. This means you can access it from any machine connected to the internet and capable of running java 1.5 or better. You will have to install ePete on each computer you wish to use. |
